d control blank for producers desk?

some of the "icon empowered studios" pictured seem to have blank sidecars that integrate into the d control for rack gear and desk surfaces, but i can't find info on this. Anybody know about this?

and has anyone thought about replacingh the plastic blue feet with some nice looking ones? how hard would this be?
