Re: Where are my clips?

Perhaps elaborate on this process further and then we should be able to help. C

Re: Where are my clips?
He’s routing audio through an Aux Track to record onto an Audio Track. It’s not uncommon. It’s not that complicated and doesn’t really mess anything up as long as the bussing is correct, which it seems it was.
Rick, it’s confusing what the problem is exactly because the explanation isn’t very clear, no offense. Darryl is suggesting that you “lost” the clips on the timeline because you’d moved to a different location and you’re zoomed in. It can be a big workspace sometimes. It’s also possible that you’ve inadvertently hidden the original track you recorded on or deleted the clips off the timeline by accident. In either case the recordings are not gone, like you discovered. Therefore, determine if any of the above is true and if so, you can correct. If you need to put the clips back on a track simply drag them from the clip list and all will be whole again. |

Re: Where are my clips?
Hi Darryl,
Thanks for your time on this. I honestly had no idea that DUC was downscaling my attachments...now I know. its2loud's comments are spot on. I wanted the flexibility to add plugs to the Aux track and route to the Audio track which is working fine. Again, I transferred ~100 tapes with this same template without any issue. I'll just create a new session for this and start again. I appreciate all of the input, seriously I do so thanks to all.

Re: Where are my clips?
Rick, when you say start again do you mean from scratch? Recording the 100 tapes again? If so, that’s not necessary as long as the Pro Tools recordings exist.
