Makin Beats
Whats up all My name is Ishaq I just got into the digi 001 from a friend. and I wanted to know is there a way to produce beats without using the midi. If not could someone help me with the basic midi set up for a Roland Xp-60 / Akai S2000 / and a midi controller..
Thanks Ishaq |

Re: Makin Beats
You can make beats....by putting ProTools in Grid Mode Setting the tempo and flying individual hit to where ever you want. I do this when Im bored and don't have access to an MPC or Sampler. I put the grid in 16th note and start flying in individual drum hits that I edit....and loop those 4 bars of audio tracks......
but if you want to utilize those pieces of gear you are going to need a midi interface...once you get one...you can email me and I can have you up in running in less then 30 minutes.....Midi interfaces are Cheap...you can pick up a AMT4 from Emagic for about 150 bucks 4 in 4 out interface....or even Midiman
