Noisy mic pre when unterminated
On my SC48, channel 16 has a ton of white noise on it when it's unterminated. None of the other channels do though. If I have the trim up half way with the pad off, the input is reading -40dB of noise. If I plug in a mic, the noise floor drops drastically. Bad dc decoupling cap perhaps?

Hi Greg - contact the support folks at venuesupport(at)avid(dot)com. They should be able to advise.
