Computer Automatically Restarts when Opening LE??

Hello,

I love PTs.

Ok, im installing PTs to my main PC and it just seems not to like my PC haha.

My PC is buildt well. Over 2 gigs ram, over 300 gigs rom. Runs fast and smooth. I know there are tougher PCs out there, but this PC hasn't really been bit with any program other than PTs.

I use the version 7.1 on my laptop with a Mbox 2. It works fine with regular application use.

I installed the software and drivers on my PC then tried to open LE. When I did, it makes my computer restart. Ive tried troubleshooting many ways to make it stop. Any Ideas???

(Side question but still important)
After the drivers and software were intalled, I also tried to make the Mbox the main audio device for playback in the control panel of my PC. When I play Itunes you can hear audio out of the Mbox(headphones and main outs), but it is chopped up and kinda delayed. Nasty sounding to say the least. I did this same thing while connected to my lap top and it worked fine, being the main audio playback device. But!... it would only work in Windows Media player. Ive looked for and tried many preference adjustments but only windows media player plays out the Mbox, not Itunes :-(

Any Ideas??

You should start with the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x/7.x General Troubleshooting thread and post specific info on your system per the info on that thread if you're unable to resolve the problem.

It could be either you need to update your PACE drivers ( www.paceap.com) or you may have a hardware incompatibility that we can most likely diagnose with your Sandra report.
