Midi notes disappear

In 7.4, MIDI notes are outlined in black. The issue has been addressed. Please stop multi-posting and digging up 7 month old posts.

Those of us stuck on earlier versions due to, say, processor incompatibilities still find it a bit of a pain, spk. Is this the nearest we're going to get to a simple answer? "Let it go guys, you lost."

Usually, when new versions of any software come out, development on previous versions ceases.

That has typically been the case with all Pro Tools releases including this one. If the bug fix is included in the new version, you will have to upgrade to the new version. If for some reason, you cannot use the new version on your current system (what specific processor incompatibilities are you referring to?), you will have to upgrade your system.

I know; that sucks as an answer, but it is the plain and simple truth/fact of the software world.

Although I'm using later versions on other machines, 7.1 was the last to support my Sempron based laptop, which I use for editing and tweaking. I wasn't wholly sold on 7.3, but the highly attractive 7.4 becomes a more expensive upgrade for me.

I suppose the grind with this issue is that it's such a roadblock of a problem - and naturally I feel it should have been sorted out while 7.1 was current.

I understand if the bug was difficult to track down, but my machine was specifically supported for 7.1 (Acer Aspire 1360) - I imagine there may have be one lying around Digi HQ at some point...
