xPand2 question

Hello,
I have a small issue and don't know what I'm missing. I'm using a Windows computer, 32 gig RAM running Pro Tools 2018.4..When I click the xPand2 plug and it comes up, along the top, you see the word Default. It used to be when I'd click on the Default all the different menus for different instrument effects would populate. I could scroll down to the Drum tab, click there, and I'd see a bunch of different drum kit patches to try out. Now, I click on Default, nothing comes up but the word Default. On the interface, if I go down into the A window, there's a little down arrow in the top right corner. Drums will come up in the next menu when clicking, but it is not the drum menu I want. Is there a setting somewhere I need to check? I'm a tab baffled.. Thank you

Can't speak for2018.4, but the latest 2022.5 shows all the presets as expected here. Time to post complete system details

Thanks Albee.. It is a new desktop. I'll have to pull out a Sandra Report I suppose..

Thinking more about this; I suspect a Sandra report is not going to reveal much. I would be inclined to uninstall xPand2 and re-install(letting the installer pick where everything goes). I am leaning towards the idea that maybe you accidentally put something where it doesn't belong when you installed it the first time.

Also, since its a new setup, was it a fresh download of xPand2, or something you had saved from a while ago? Then I would look for a fresh download of it

I think I'll take your advice, Dave :), and reinstall.. I would assume this AIR XPand II 2018.3 Win would be the one considering it's the only Xpand download in the Download Center. I seem to remember seeing an Xpand2 and an Xpand!2. When did they add the exclamation point? Anyway, thank you Dave for the insights.. You've been here in the Avid Pro Audio Community helping us hobbyists for awhile now. Hope life is treating you well in these exciting times! !!

Good afternoon, Here's another screen shot of the drop down available in the 'A' window, which is not near a complete set of patches. There aren't any kits listed... Not sure why it's sideways ,sorry. When you click on the Drum tap near the bottom, a menu does come up, but there are no kits at all... This download came from my Avid account in the Legacy downloads and was the only one there.. It's Xpand!2.... Does it make a difference that it isn't xPand2, without the exclamation point? I'm pretty sure 2018.4 had the xPand!2.

I apologize for multiple messages, but I couldn't figure out how to attach 2 images to the same message.. Anyway... I don't know where the big list of drop downs went when you click that (factory default) window at the top?? I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Restarted the computer. Maybe I should have shut the computer down rather than restarting?? Dave, thanks for the thought of a re installing. Unfortunately, it didn't work.. I will now shut off the computer, come back in and see if by some stroke of good fortune, the drop down menu from the (factory default) window comes back..


So I turned off the computer came back in a few, started up ProTools. I tried xpand!2 on a session with other data, and a new session with nothing but an instrument chanel and the was no drop down in the factory default area.. Of course any dectective work you think I should do, I appreciate the path to take.. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, my version shows as Xpand!2 under Programs and features, and it shows version 2.2.7.21000. Instead of the download from Avid, maybe try the one from Air Music Tech's site here:
