Default Pro Tools not importing volume with "import session data"

Hi,

I work with ProTools 12.1.0, MBP OS X 10.10.5.

The problem I have after I import Session Data, is that some volumes are reset to 0db. Even the sends volume are at down at the minimum level.

Let's say I import 20 tracks from another session, half of them will be alright, the other 10 have the volume at 0db and send level at -infinite. In the originale session, volumes are not at 0db...

I really made sure that Track data to import is set to All- including volume automation and setting.

Is this a new bug? It never happened to me before.

Thanks for your help

Check that the session start time for the session you are importing from is the same as for your current session. Things can go awry if they don't agree.

When importing session data, automation is replaced instead of overlaid when using Adjust Session Start Time to Match Source Start Time (PTSW-149273)
Automation can sometimes be replaced instead of overlaid when using Adjust Session Start Time to Match Source Start Time when im- porting session data. This issue may occur if the source session start time (of the session being imported) is earlier than the current ses- sion start time. This issue can be avoided if you instead import the session data from the session with the later start time into the session with the earlier start time. You must also not enable the Adjust Session Start Time to Match Source Start Time option, and select Main- tain Absolute when prompted.

It's a known issue according to Avid...

But, Don't sessions all start at 01:00:00:00 ??

That is the case for all my sessions, so why do I have this bug?

sessions start at any time you want it to. Its adjustable in session setup window.

Its very common in post production for sessions to start at 00:58:00:00 or earlier, especially in TV when the first frame of action is at 01:00:00:00 as opposed to film where sessions start at hour one and first frame of action is at 01:00:08:00 or something like that.

when you import session data, are you matching tracks, or importing new tracks?

Importing new tracks.

BTW I still haven't got proper help from PT support... They don't seem to know what to do about my problem
