HD ILok Asset.

HI there,

is the HD ILok asset specific to the pro tools version on the installer disc?

i.e, could i put in my friends ILok and boot up a TDM system. That questions hypothetical BTW!!!

Also does a MIX system (6.4 and older) require an ILok asset?

An iLok with a PTHD 7.x auth will work on any system that has PTHD 7.x software on it.

But be aware of the revisions. A PTHD 7.2 iLok will auth 7.0 to 7.2, a PTHD 7.3 will auth 7.0 to 7.3

Hello. Some plug ins would need the iLok to run on Pro Tools versions earlier than 7.x, but the Pro Tools software itself did not need the iLok.
