Default Avid NativeCardFlasher

Hello,

Currently got PT Ultimate but want to use an older HD Native and 192 that I also have. I keep getting prompts to upgrade the firmware, it then went pear-shaped.

I've searched Uncle Google high and low for the mysterious NativeCardFlasher https://resources.avid.com/SupportFi...ardFlasher.pdf

And this is not working https://kb.avid.com/pkb/articles/en_...10=_14_1_1_2_1

There is obviously power going to the card as I am getting a flashing green led for 6-7 seconds and then kicks back in 8 seconds later.

I've tried both my old Mac Pro 5.1 with 10.6.8 which doesn't work. I got the 10.6.7 update but cannot locate 10.6.6 ;(

Tried Win 11 - no joy - doesn't even show up.

The firmware process crashed with -1166 and has not been the same since.

If anybody has the installer for the win version I would be very happy to have that.

Thanks,

Shea.

Thank you Jeff I will try.

The fact it is no longer showing in System Information means it's possibly toast due to a -1166 error and a failed firmware. I spoke with Avid who cannot help. Everything I had tried they mentioned and also said they no longer had the flasher as it's built into the PT software.

I just get the green lights flashing 6 times and that's it. I came across this old post also https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=319390

I will give it a bash, thank you.

Shea.

No joy Jeff.

Dead as a dodo.

The card does not show in the System information. Flasher doesn't run properly.

Thank you,

Shea.

Sadly, it sounds like the card may not be able to be flashed. If you've already tried the reset switch and early versions of PT - you may not have any other options.
