Default Advanced vs Limited toolset?

Sup,

Could explain to me what now the difference between the advanced and limited toolset is?

Which then besides the larger track counts, more busses / hdx Support is missing in Pro Tools Studio compared to Flex / Ultimate?

I guess why nobody answers, is that there is no information about it really? I couldn't find anything.

So it's mainly only TrackPunch/DestructivePunch besides hardware features? Which i don't understand why that would need to be am Ultimate feature, basically more tracks and busses makes sense with DSPs but not the punch which i wouldn't use anyways because I'd record a section anyways, unless you have an assistant.

No, there’s a lot more differences than that, make sure you go through and expand each section on that link.

That said, their choices on what to include / exclude are quite perplexing. They’re not resource-dependent though, that’s clear, it’s all artificial constraints for sales purposes. They’re moving increasingly in the direction of Ultimate for Post-only, but there are still a few curiosities in there.

Download the Pro Tools 2022.4 (or 2022.5) user manual. And search for "Ultimate." That will show you features that are version specific.

Searching for "Ultimate" will also pull up features that are "Studio and Ultimate only" but you should be able to figure out that easier when you get to the Ultimate-only features. And some features (like video tracks) requires reading down to understand what version gets which features. It's more than one line to explain.

But what are the most significant differences software wise besides the punching and shuffle?

Once again, go read the comparison chart as it has all the answers. Off the top of my head, Ultimate can do multiple video tracks(instead of 1). Some extra automation features(which if you never used them, you wouldn't miss).
