Default Offset frames count for 59:58:00

How do I offset the frame to start at 59:58 so at 1:00:00:00, the frame count will be at 0? Currently, my session says 3+00 at 1:00:00:00 when it should read 0+00.

Setup->Current Feet+Frames Position

Park yourself at 01:00:00:00 then use this menu item.

That will obviously work, but it's a bit of an odd request.

If you're using Feet and Frames, then 0+00 is always at the hour mark but then 59:58:00 doesn't usually mean anything....not like it does in video projects where the 2-pop is at 59:58:00, and the FFOA is at 1:00:00:00

In a 35mm film project the Picture Start Mark (the head of the leader) is at 0+00, the pop at 9+00 and the FFOA at 12+00. Timecodes for these would be 1:00:00:00, 1:00:06:00 and 1:00:08:00 respectively. So 59:58:00 would actually be -3+00

Or, I'm just misunderstanding and you have a perfectly valid reason for your question and in which case Ceri's answer is spot-on :)

Best,

Joe
