Re: Pro Tools First; 48k?
I can't change that parameter. Maybe it's because I'm running "Built-in Output" (MacBook Pro)?
Would changing this prevent conversion from 48 to 44.1 when importing files? |

Re: Pro Tools First; 48k?
What interface are you using? If it's a Focusrite, it may be a driver issue.
If so, I posted a solution on the FractalAudio forum https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threa....122955/page-2 Before installing the Pro Tools First specific driver you need to uninstall ALL of the USB drivers bundled with the Focusrite Control software first. WARNING: Installing the Pro Tool First specific driver AFTER the Focusrite Control software drivers are installed seems to cause the issues discussed in this thread. Actually the real problem is that Focusrite's documentation is unbelievably useless. I mean look at this. Exhibit A: https://us.focusrite.com/downloads/p...s-first-driver Exhibit B: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en....t-Windows-Only Exhibit C: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en....e-Windows-Only Simply put, Exhibit A tells you to go to Exhibit B which tells you to go to Exhibit C which doesn't tell you ANYTHING about how to properly install the drivers. Here is how I uninstalled the bundled drivers and installed the specific one (also see note below) Power on the Focusrite 6i6 Under Device Manager -> Sound, video and game controllers; right-click and uninstall the following Focusrite USB Audio Focusrite USB MIDI In Focusrite USB MIDI Out Under Device Manager -> Focusrite Audio; right-click and uninstall the following Scarlett 6i6 USB USB Audio Root Third one (can't remember the name) Go to the following three directories and run (double-click) the uninstaller files (e.g. unins000.exe) C:\Program Files\FocusriteUSB C:\Program Files\FocusritePCIe C:\Program Files\Focusrite Download and Install the Pro Tools First driver from the link near the bottom of the page https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en....t-Windows-Only Restart PC Open Pro Tools by holding down the 'N' key + clicking on the desktop icon as mentioned above the Need further help? section on the driver download page. Select the Focusrite USB and 48 kHz options. Now everything should work! Note: In lieu of the uninstall steps above, the following may work as well. I came across it after I had already uninstalled everything: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-...trol-from-a-PC Hope this helps! |
