Will 6.7 be released on Oct. 28?

Since Digi has been so quiet about 6.7 for a while I don't think we have too long to wait but I would be very impressed if they could have it ready the day they officially announce and show it. I would guess it will be about a month like 6.4 was though.

I would think that because this is NOT protools 7.0 I would expect lots of bug fixes in this version so the longer we wait the more bugs that will get fixed. So I am in no hurry ... Also on another point Digi charged $150.00 for 6.4 so also considering that TDM users paid a premium upgrade price for 6.0 then 6.4 and once again this is not 7.0 I would bet that Digi will give this one out for a song and a dance for us. They have always been MORE than fair with upgrade prices for Protools, .... which is more than I can say for other companies like W___S!

Not sure about TDM upgrades, but at 1 year plus 3 weeks, Digi updated my v5.3.1 PTLE to 6.0 for free. Then all the point versions to 6.4 have been free to all PTLE v6.x users. V7 will have to come out by Mid'05 to get a free upgrade for my OO2.

I think that this next release is 6.7 instead of 7.0 is that it may still be compatable with the OO1. Digi stated that the OO1 would not be supported at the next version which would be 7, duh

Personally, I am looking forward to 6.7. 6.0 to 6.4 have been very flacky with many little gotcha's that only show up sometimes. Makes it a bear to troubleshoot.

I hope they address the bugs as well. In other words I am a man that hasn't downloaded one single "cs" update yet. So I am hoping that with version 6.7 I will have every problem that ALL cs updates addressed fixed. Is this a correct way of figuering would you say ?? Or no ? Would one STILL need cs updates along with version 6.7 ??

Also it should be free for up to one year of a previous PT purchase,, but for some reason the ol' 90 days thing seems to ring a bell as well..

Frankly unless they address every bug,, I am not impressed with what they are saying 6.7 is/does. I personally do not use midi, so no big deal there for me. I mean what else are they saying it is, or will do ?? It just better be a bug exterminator,, thats all I want.

And most likely it will NOT be availabe Oct. 28th. I mean that is 2 days away !! I am thinking sometime in Nov.
