Default Anyone have problem with audio disappearing?

I get this problem where sometimes the audio disappears. I may set up a send to a reverb, note that the reverb doesn't actually work (even though the buses are set up and the send volumes up to max), I then solo a track and hear nothing, I unsolo and hear nothing. I usually quit PT (unless it crashes itself at this point), delete the DB folders and boot it up again and its fixed.

Does anyone have this problem, or a problem with Waves 5.0? I have that, and use it, and feel it could be to do with Waves 5.0. Sometimes the audio bursts when I load up PT, but there is no 5.0.1 updates unfortunately.

Weird. I think I experienced this for the first time last night while mixing. I set up an aux and suddenly, no audio. No levels on any meter even though there clearly should have been. Also no undo list. I shut down and restarted and the audio returned although one of the tracks had moved out of sync on the time line. I was able to fix it fast and get back to work with no further problems. I just updated to 10.3.8 a few days ago. I wonder if that had anything to do with it... and yes, I've got Waves Renn Maxx 5.0 although I'm not sure that I was using any of those in the session that I described (I'm not at my Mac at the moment)...

Ok, glad its not just me.

I think we do have the same problem. I feel it could be Waves, as not many posted.

stoogee - can you give more specific information about your computer model, os version, Pro Tools version and any other peripherals attached to your computer?

Are you experiencing this with just one session or every session? Is the problem still occurring at all?

Have you tried the 'General Troubleshooting' suggestions in the sticky at the top of this forum?

i am still getting this problem, in fact it happened about 3 times last night. I had to quit PT, turn the 002R off, trash the DB folders, and then reboot PT.

HelP!!!!!!!!!!

maybe instead of deleting my posts, you could actually try and help a customer with your failing product.
