Default FAC Chorus via Blue Cat Audio's Patchworks to Pro Tools

OK ...

I just purchased and installed FAC Chorus from the Mac App - Store .
The installation went smoothly, but now as I'm trying to insert it via Blue Cat Audio's Patchworks (selecting the the audio unit - option) I'm running to a dead end . Just for curiosity I can't find the *.component file anywhere . Haven't rebooted yet though ... but it showed up in REAPER instantly .

Need some major help here ...

System info? computer? macOS version? Pro Tools version?

Is the plugin executable you received Apple silicon only?

If not sure, what does the file command show for the embedded executable...

like in Terminal go to where the AU plugin "Foo" is and type...

$ file Foo/Contents/MacOS/Foo

That’s an AU v3 plugin which can’t be hosted in Patchwork.

Edit: Doh Sardi beat me to it.

Well the answer I think is easier than that, Once I finally had my Mac back from a new macOS install.... The last update of the plugin was a few years ago so will support Intel... but the plugin is in AU v3 format.. and I suspect Bluecat does not support that (but you can check with them). AU v3 largely comes from the iOS world and has somewhat spotty support, although many DAWs on Macs do support it.

But if all you want is a chorus... The Avid Complete Plugin Bundle includes the Air Chorus and Multi Chorus, Bluecat themselves have a free Chorus etc. etc.
