I like 'em not as much as I like my Waves plugins, but Bombfactory's are the second choice for PC and are very good, very processor intensive, I like the Pultec, it's a cool plug, the LA-2A compressor it's pretty good...although I've heard not as good as the LA-2A from Universal Audio DSP plugin cards, but these are not compatible with LE.

I didn´t have internet access on this computer at the time so I went to a cyber cafe and dowloaded the demos(there are 3), and just had them burn me a CD-Rom.

I love these things!

The Meek compressor and Eq are very cool, the eq is one of those things that can be set to zero on all dials and it will just make it better somehow.....
the Fairchild, the La2a. Classic compressors!! might not be excact copies, but that might be a good thing

You should hear the powered plug-in uad-1! Just picked one up a week ago. The 1176ln and la-2a are very impressive. A freind of mine has the 1176LN and it's hard to ell the diff. he says.

Urei 1176 is the best damn compressor there is. On wooly-type vocals, call it up, hit the 'all buttons in' preset and, oh my....

UAD-1 versions are the closest replicas of the originals among the ones i heard.

GP in which program are you using the UAD-1?

Do you all think Universal and TC electronincs will come out with a card that's RSTA compatible?

TC maybe, UA- seems to have a bad attitude toward the PC platform. As long as I have Waves I really could care less.
