1) Nothing other than a 500 processor upgrade.
2) I think there may be some free plug’s avail.- remember, you get what you pay for. bassmac |

Re: what can i add to my g4. for better performance?
Seperate high performance drives can improve your performance. If you are running your OS, PTle and your session off the same drive, you are loosing performance. Add another internal drive (7200 rpm or higher). Run your session off the 2nd drive.
You can always add more ram But, the ram you have is adequate. I'd say, optimizing your drive setup and maximizing your OS resources are the places where you might see the most benefit. dcornutt |

Re: what can i add to my g4. for better performance?
The G4/500 with 576meg of ram did it for. I just couldn't take it any longer, even though it proved to be a very expensive exercise.
Sold my G4/400 and bought a new G4/500 (box only)with extra ram. I am now content but also poor. Ps. The wife doesn't know yet. I think my contentment will be short lived. Nick |
