import audio WITHOUT sample rate converting?
let's say i WANTED to import a 44.1 audio file into a 48 session and i did NOT want it to be converted to 44.1
is there a way in PTLE? thanks |

I don't believe so.
If somehow you managed to get the file in there, it'd play back too fast. A 48KHz session will read 48 thousand samples per second, so in the first second of playback it'll read 44,100 samples (all of the first second of music) of your 44.1KHz file and then read another 3900 samples (a little bit of the next second of music).

It's easy. Import audio menu, import the audio, and untick sample rate convert. Pro Tools will ask you if you really want to do that, and if you click yes, than it will import it at the original sample rate.
