Default Digi Error ******Bad Image*** Please Help

For some reason I'm getting this error when I attempt to load Protools.
"Protools 5.3.1:ProtoolsLE.exe Bad Image"
"the application or DLL c:\.........tmp is not a valid windows image - Please check this against your instalation"

I just completed a defrag and now I get a "code 7" error when I tried to load Protools and then my computer rebooted and now what next.

My setup:
A7V333
AMD XP 2700
768MB PC2700 Memory
Ultra TX2 Promise card

You know i had that same error with plugins. Turns out I was using the win98 versions of the plugs.

I don't know if that helps. No one ever heard of it on the board, so I don't know if you'll have any luck here. Have you tried going straight through to digi?
