Re: MTRX Studio HDX and Dolby Atmos Production Suite
That is a bit odd. Does increasing the DVS latency improve things? How about removing the switch and going point-to-point (really this should not affect things, but it's worth trying). I suppose you could also look at the PCIe pool allocation but 64 channels is only 75Mbps.

Re: MTRX Studio HDX and Dolby Atmos Production Suite
I need the switch because I have a Lynx Hilo that is Dante as well so even if I go point to point then I’ll loose my headphones. Changing DVS latency doesn’t make a difference.

Re: MTRX Studio HDX and Dolby Atmos Production Suite
The dropping in and out part sounds like something akin to an IP conflict to me. Is Dante Controller flagging any event or clocking errors (you can access them by double clicking the green/red squares in the bottom right of the app)?
What happens if you strip the network setup right back - just plug a single ethernet cable between your Mac and MTRX, selecting the appropriate ethernet port in both Dante Controller and DVS?

Re: MTRX Studio HDX and Dolby Atmos Production Suite
It does seem like it’s seeing errors of some sort. I can check out the log. Again, I can go point to point to try and see if that helps figure out an issue but unfortunately I can’t leave it that way because my headphone amp is Dante as well. I’ll try it and let you know. Again, thanks for all the help.

Quote:
It's more for the purposes of fault finding than anything else. If the MTRX and DVS work fine together, then we know the issue probably exists somewhere else in the network.

Re: MTRX Studio HDX and Dolby Atmos Production Suite
Good points. Wireshark and PTP Track Hound can also be useful for diagnosis, but you have to know what you're looking for :)
I am starting to see why Dolby is extremely specific at what systems they qualify

ok so I connected the MTRX directly to the Mac Pro and still no luck. Same issues. Here are some lines from the event logs...

Re: MTRX Studio HDX and Dolby Atmos Production Suite
Interesting. Do you have wifi enabled on your Mac?

Re: MTRX Studio HDX and Dolby Atmos Production Suite
No. But obviously I do have a 2019 Mac Pro where you need the adaptor to even get it to work with Dante but honestly I don't know why it would work fine (it's been set up that way since September) and now with the HDX and Hybrid it's not working. Again, the only things I changed were the routing in the Dante Controller (not sure why any of that would make a difference) and the new PT software. HDX is showing up fine with 64 channels in the Audio Midi setup. HDX1 is in the proper slot. Seems like it all points to Dante but I don't know what else to try.
