Down Mixer Plug In VS Neyrinck Soundcode LtRt
Can someone tell me what the specific difference is between the Pro Tools Down Mixer plug in and Neyrincks Soundcode LtRt. Is it Neyrinck's ability to encode Pro Logic into the LtRt file and will it be embedded if you bounce to disk an interleaved stereo file? Can you also do it by bouncing a Quicktime movie out of Pro Tools?

Re: Down Mixer Plug In VS Neyrinck Soundcode LtRt
The Down Mix plugin gives you a LoRo (Left Only Right Only)
L = L + 50% of C + Ls or 50% of S, R = R + 50% of C + Rs or 50% of S LtRt is L = L + 50% of C + S rotated forward 90 deg., R = R + 50% of C + S rotated backwards 90 deg. so if summed to mono surround cancels itself out this is also why cheap revebes that flip one side out of phase (SPX90) jump to the surrounds when run through a PL decoder
