I just purchased the monthly version on my Mac

Its installed and a dashboard comes up but I can't see how to start a new project

There is a history of all my versions going waaayyy back. but I don't see the interface to work a project

I would start by reading the Reference Guide on Creating a New Session or Project.

If you still can’t get things going, please post exactly what you are doing and what you are seeing and we will get you going.

Be careful since you last saw Pro Tools "Project" has a new specific meaning of online cloud project which is different than a "Session" on your local drive--which is how you used Pro Tools in the past. You should be working with Sessions *not* Projects, it's a longer discussion but there are unfortunately lots of problems with Projects.

There has also been a change in the UI a few releases ago that can cause the Edit or Mix windows to not appear as expected when you do open a Session (or Project), and might be confusing. If you have open a Session (or Project) and don't see the windows you expect you can make them visible from the top level menu using Window>Mix and Window>Edit.
