Change Of Behaviour With Fades/Audiosuite?
Hey all,
I'm seeing a change of behaviour with the way PT handles fades and Audiosuite, and I'm wondering if anyone has a workaround (or knows where to find a way) to get back to previous or similar behaviour. I make a lot of sample content, (drum samples mostly) and quite a lot of my workflow relies on batch processing. My previous workflow (on my old machine running PT2019.x) was that a bunch of samples laid out in the timeline could all have a fade applied to the end (Command>F and select the fade out length). I would then write those fades to the individual files using a little workaround: I'd select the Trim Audiosuite, and using "Create Individual Files" I would then audiosuite them and it would write the fade to the clip, in the same way that "Consolidate Clip" does.... but it would do it to multiple clips at the same time. I would then Batch Rename and export those samples to be loaded into Kontakt. The way it works now is that Audiosuiting the individual clips doesn't write the fade to the file... It now basically "Trims" the file (even though no gain is being applied) and leaves the fade unwritten to the clip (the fade is still visible as if it's overlaid over the clip)... so there's now no consolidation of the fade happening. Anybody got a better/different workflow for dealing with this? I basically need to be able to create fades at the end of multiple clips and consolidate that information to all those clips before export, without having to individually consolidate multiple files. Thanks in advance..!

Re: Change Of Behaviour With Fades/Audiosuite?
Turn off Handles. Try using AudioSuite Gain at 0/0 instead of Trim.

Re: Change Of Behaviour With Fades/Audiosuite?
Thanks so much...!
That's exactly what it was.... Once I searched "Handles" in the manual it all made sense...! p.963 of the manual explains it nicely with the various Audiosuite options and whether fades and clip gain are rendered or not. Much appreciated
