Default Session Load and Network at the same time...Painfully slow...

Okay, so I got 8.04cs2...All seems to run fine. My only gripe is how long it takes to load a session. Even the smallest of sessions take longer than they should on a MacPro with 5gb ram (10.6.2).

I read awhile back about something to do with the network being enabled can be the culprit. So I tested by leaving the cable in my router in, and sessions load painfully slow. Then unplugging the cable and loaded a few sessions and they opened quicker than the eye.

Is this something to do with Core Audio, or Snow Leopard? I really hate having to reach around the router and unplug the cable just to get some quick work done. Anyone else with this problem and what was fix?

Thanks...
