Cost to upgrade to Pro Tools 10?

I've been a registered Pro Tools user since 2004 (version 6). Currently I'm using Pro Tools LE 8.0.5, and just downloaded Pro Tools 10.3.6.

I'm curious as to why I wasn't asked for my serial number before downloading, but I also haven't seen anywhere if the upgrade from PTLE 8 to PT 10 has a cost associated with it.

Can I, in fact, upgrade from Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 directly to Pro Tools 10.3.6, and is there a cost involved?

Okay, I finally found out that I need to buy an iLok license for Pro Tools 10.

But this time-wasting website does not provide a link to WHERE to buy the license.

Is the text on the AVID website translated from another language, or something? It is not an easy website to navigate. Never has been.

Since PT9, Protools requires an Ilok to run. You are actually buying an upgrade to PT11, which comes with a license for 10 as well.

Note that PT11 requires an Ilok v.2.

The crossgrade is $399. Alternatively, you may wish to buy an Eleven Rack for $639 at B&H Photo, which includes an Ilok 2 and a license for PT 10 and 11.

Now I can make an informed decision. As I really didn't need a newer version of Pro Tools – I was interested in upgrading simply because the CoreAudio driver behaves erratically outside of Pro Tools, I'll stick with PT LE 8.0.5 for now and deal with the erratic behavior.
