Default Keep getting error message (-9073)

I have written about this problem several times already and I still have no solution. Here is a description of my computer. Intel ® Pentium ® 4 CPU 2.00 GHZ. 512 MB of Ram. I have 48.5 percent of my hard drive free. I am running the Mbox 6.1 program and most of the time it works just great. My operating system is window XP professiol. However, I have had about 4 songs that had done something strange. I would go to play the tracks. (Only 5 of them) and the program would just lock up and then give me the following message. “DAE can’t get audio from the disk(s) fast enough . Your disk may be too slow or too fragmented. A firewire disk could be having trouble due to the extra firewire bandwidth or CPU load. (-9073)
In most cases there are only 5 or so tracks involved. The last time I wrote about this problem it was suggested that I increase the playback buffer to level 4 instead of 2. (default) and to change my CPU usage limit to something else. I now have it currently at 75%, but it doesn’t make any difference what percentage I use- no change. I have cleared the unused audio, I have tried to consolidate the tracks and bounce to disk (which only gave me the same message again.) I have analyzed my disk, and it says that I do not need to defragment the disk, but I did it anyway. If the files are corrupted, why would it only do it on just certain songs? It doesn’t do it with the largest majority of songs. I am completely perplexed! Would someone please help me. I have already lost several songs that were ready for mixing and now I can’t do anything with them, except to start over.

You should try the suggestions in the General Troubleshooting thread.

Let us know if that clears up the problem.

I think I forgot to mention that I was using an MBox. 6.1 system. I tried the process scheduling thing, but it didn't make any difference. Nothing seems to work. If I have to unistall everything, would you give me a step by step of what to do to reinstall? Thank You
