The additional tracks are added with the Music Production Toolkit which requires 7.1 software. 7.1 on its own is still 32 voices. The MPT is $499US and should be shipping in the next couple of months.

this has to be some kind of joke right? well i was pretty shure the update to 7.1 was gonna do the 48 tracks, i mean come on 32 tracks is ridiculous, and i'm not gonna pay 500$ for that useless update, it's ridiculous!!! i sincerly hope your wrong and digidesign will have the decency of updgrading to 48 tracks without stealing so much money from us (again). Can't someone from digi enlighten us on this? please?

Do search on this subject & you will find many who cry "32 voices is more than enough" & I mean, these guys will go out of their way to tell you so... I really don't blame Digi for charging for extra tracks, since so many were really vocal about this... I'd say money well spent. Plus you get extra plugs. Otherwise, you can always march with your feet.

hmm.. i think youll find 7.1 will be iether free for existing 7.0 owners
or a modest fee like $50 not $500!

Digi has already stated that it will be a free upgrade for people who already purchased 7.0 . It will have only 32 voices though, like the current version. For the 48 tracks, you'll need to upgrade to either the Producers Toolkit or DV Toolkit 2.

I'd Like to remind everyone the plugins alone are worth the $500 for the Music Production Toolkit.
In my case I'm certain the 500 will pay for itself in no time flat.

Still wish it was free though

I typed in Music Production Toolkit and Producers Toolkit and got zero results, using the Digi Search. Where can I find this stuff to look at it?
Thanks.
