recording input from external sequencer into protools...?
Hi everyone, I'm brand new to the forum community... and a self-taught producer/engineer...
I've been relying on product manuals to get by and currently trying to enroll in either I.A.R or SAE for a more educated experience... I've invested in the 003-protools le 8.0.1 system running on a pc... I also have an axiom 61 controller, krk sub woofer- 2 rocket 8 powered monitors, and a roland mv 8000 production studio... I'm trying to record the audio signal from the roland into protools... following the instructions in the 003 set up guide on page 54 under: (monitor section)... I am able to hear the audio from the roland but can not find the pre-fader where the signal is coming in from to record into protools... ??? in addition I also understand there should be a way to record the midi data from the roland into protools ??? If anyone can help... that would be a great start... Thanks Ra Hood |

MIDI out of the roland to midi in on the 003. Set up in MIDI window.
