G5, with Dae error -9035 Please Help

Hello all, this is urgent, thank you for you help in advance.

Im running a G5 1.6 with 1 gig Ram osx panther ver 10.35
with pro tools LE 6.4

i currently am getting the DAE error -9035 as soon as i press space bar to record.

my play back settings are at

H/W Buffer Size : 1024 samples

CPU usage Limit 85% (I can't go anymore then that as this is a single processor unit)

DAE Playback Buffer Size : Level 2 (default)


my energy saver CPU speed is on highest, I don't have norton Anti Virus on, or even have the computer hooked to the internet.
I run Mac Janitor once every 2 weeks as well as running disk permissions repair often.

This should be running just Fine and it has for over half a year.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Did you check the answerbase? Lots of info about -9035's in there, usually related to using an inappropriate character in a filename somewhere.

When you say "I don't have norton Anti Virus on" you mean it's installed and turned off? Just uninstall it, there should be no Norton applications anywhere on your computer. I'd dump Mac Janitor too, who knows what that's doing to your system. OSX maintenance is pretty easy, and most of it is covered in the Digidesign stickied thread near the top of the forum on OSX setup and troubleshooting.
