Default Using MultiSource LTC in ProTools?

How does one use LTC time code captured on an audio track from several multi-track audio sources. These include several digitral video cameras and several multi-track digital audio recorders.

Seems LTC is not supported? Works in Avid but not ProTools. Hmmm.
Has anyone done this and how was it done?

Rick

You need an LTC to midi timecode converter like this.

Not quite sure what you mean by multisource LTC. PT will only lock to a single timecode positional reference.

The usual method of doing this is with a Sync IO or Sync HD peripheral. You'll find info on this in the PT manual.

Yep, but according to many sources the poor man's method (LTC/MTC coverter) works too, which is a good thing. There are many situations where getting an HD system just for the LTC I/O via the Sync HD interface would be an expensive overkill. It's good to know that i.e. RME HDSP interfaces with the TCO daughter card can extract Word Clock from a video signal and can convert incoming LTC to MTC internally (in both directions).
