Yep. Snow Leopard is not certified to work with Protools yet.

Are you implying that you are looking at buying a used Mac? You can't buy new ones with Leopard, AFAIK..

Digi is, once again, putting more and more people into the same situation as you:

You need a new computer, but PT is not (fully)compatible with the newest Mac OS, which is the only way to buy a new Mac..

One other option might be:

Get the newest Imac, but get an external FW HD and install Leopard there.. You can run the iMac from the FW HD (assuming the newest iMac will work with Leopard at all) until PT becomes stable with SL..

You should research this possibility more before committing.. I'm not trying to imply that I know this will work. I would suggest checking on the Apple forums to get specifics...

Hopefully Digi will have an update ready soon...

Ok thanks.

No, I´m not buying an used one. Is just that one shop here where I live has Imacs on sale an a couple of them are still on Leopard (they came out on March 09 if I´m not mistaken).
If they are sold, I think there is no other choice but to get the new one and pray for Digi to have an official release soon. Any comments on Mbox2-SL compatibility?

Well, assuming that the last post with the different quotes means that the answer to my question was already in the thread, I only have to say that I thought PT compatibility and Mbox2 compatibility are not the same thing, so I apologize for this mistake (if it is one).
