Default Trashing Prefs & Such

Spent quite some time ripping thru old posts, can't find an answer....

I just picked up a new MBP running osx 10.7.3 and cross graded from LE to PT10... Opened without issue the first few times, but now I'm getting the old Assertion Error 1350/1351 (blah blah) This is nothing new, and my first thought is to trash prefs and databases...
Problem is, I can't find them. Not under users>Preferences>etc... Checked a few posts with differing locations, and nothing.

My old version (7.3) of PT has never been installed on this computer, so I'm starting from scratch on this HDD with PT10. Today I installed the 10.1.3 update - same thing.

Am I totally missing something here? Would trashing prefs and databases be the right first step?

.... getting tired of feeling like it's my first week on this program (it's not)... Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Ah - the famous hidden library trick...

1. Go to Finder
2. Click on Go (at the top of your computer screen)
3. Now here's the magic - press option
4. Voila - the Library option appears...
5. Continue as you would to Preference file

Try this http://www.jcdeshaies.com/

It will save you some time.. the only file it doesn't seem to get, is in Prefs from the hidden library as stated in the prior post by holding down option under the File>Go>(hold down option)Library>Preferences>PT and Prefs and such can be found there.

Hope this helps

Thanks gents.... I'm away from my rig at the moment, but I'll be around to work on it shortly.

Appreciate the response.
