Default Question For Digidesign

I need to know how to generate a 1 KHz tone within protools LE software.

I need to feed the tone out of the Digi001 and into the analog inputs of the Apogee
Rosetta at a level of +4 (0VU) to align the inputs of my Apogee Rosetta.

How do i do this?

Also, where should the analog input alignment adjustment levels in Pro Tools LE for the
Digi001 be at in order to acieve the best levels and signal to noise ratio for recording?
