Unhappy 003 quits Pro Tools 9.0.3, please avid staff..

I know there is no LE versions anymore, but since I don't have HD, allthough CPT, I reckon this is the right place.

Every now and then, and more often now than then...., Pro Tools unexpectedly quit, giving me a looong list of errors, restarting won't help even with a power off/on on my 003 rack+. Only way to solve is to restart my Mac. I'm on 10.6.8. This problem occurs often, sometimes even several times within half an hour.

I do not record to any of my firewire disk, they're all set to transfer only. Recording is only set to my internal disks. The only firewire gadget I have is a FW to DV box, canopus, which has worked flawless in the past with other versions. I've tried to dump all my preferences and stuff with pro tools helper, but no luck.

When I switch to pro tools aggregate this problem is solved.

Anyone else have this problem? I've got the latest drivers for the 003.

Biggest problem is when I'm downmixing half an hour films to stems and it force quits half way through...

I would certainly hear from some avid guys on this one..

Mac Pro 1,1
Pro Tools 9 CPT
MacOS 10.6.8
Canopus FW to DV
003 rack+ interface.
Recording playback on internal disks, not system disk. Videoplayback from another disk than the audio playback/record. CPU/RAM values seems very good.

Recording to the internal drive is not supported.

How much RAM?

Are all plug-ins up to date?

What troubleshooting have you done? Take a look here at the top of the page.

Only if there is only one internal drive... And he says he isn't recording to the system drive.

DO NOT TURN ON AND OFF THE 003 UNIT WHILE YOUR MAC IS STILL POWERED ON!

I'm NOT recording to the internal SYSTEM drive, as you can see from my original post. AS I also said, I've deleted all files, like preferences and all the other pro tools system files. I used the pro tools helper application. I've never had this problem before, it was introduced with v9. it got worse with 9.0.3. Degrading to PT8 solved the problem, completely.

I've done as you said, upgraded all plugins to latest versions, I've also tried to remove all plugins other than the bundled ones. I tried to disconnect all other firewire devices, reinstalled Mac OS(v.10.6.8) I'm always updating Mac OS to latest versions. I've installed the latest drivers for 003, tried another FW port, and another FW cable. What else can I do..?
