SC48 w/ IO16 and Anet Cards
Hey guys, question, can I remove the 16 analog out card that comes with the SC48 and put in an ANet card and an IO16 card? Basically I'm trying to get to 56 ins with 8 out, and ANet at an SC48 price point.

Hi Jon,
Yes, this can be done. The ANet card would take the place of the regular 16 ch analog output card, and the IO16 goes in the last available output expansion slot. Sheldon

Hi. Could you please tell me if the new IO16 (with 8 analogue and 8 AES/EBU ins and outs) card increases the input track count of the SC48 to 48 + 16 = 64 or whether these inputs are just alternative inputs for the existing 48 faders. I added the IO16 to the standalone 2.9 software and it only allowed patching to the 48 faders + FX returns and did not open up any more channels eg 49-64. This isn't clear on the Avid website. Thanks in advance for your reply.

It increases the Inputs of the Console, but DOES NOT increase the channel count.
