protools9 and profile wont sync

i have a mac book osx 1.6.6 2.4ghz 2gb memory

i tried to record the show using the fire wire and i wasn't able to find the profile f.w card as an audio device.
am i doing something wrong?

the sync led on the card was lit

Hi.
Please read some recent posts:
Unfortunately, PT9 still isn't compatible
with Venue, you have to use an earlier version.
I haven't upgraded yet...

Hey guys,

Sorry for any confusion here.
As of Dec 8, 2010 Pro Tools 9 *is* compatible with Venue.
See the Venue and Pro Tools 9 FAQ here:

On a Mac you will need to explicitly install the 002 and 003 family drivers (I'm guessing this is why you aren't seeing the Venue system from Pro Tools).

The 002 and 003 family drivers are on your Pro Tools 9 DVD or you can go to the Pro Tools 9 Driver Knowledge base page to download them:

Hope this helps and let us know if, after installing the 002/003 drivers, you are still having issues connecting.

i installed the drivers
still nothing
is there something i need to do in the protools config for it to work?
i dont recall me doing anything with 8.01...

Hi,

Check that FWx is set as the Playback Engine. Do this by choosing Playback Engine from the Setup menu, and selecting FWx from the pull-down list. If FWx is not shown in the list then there is likely a connection or driver installation error. Let us know how it goes.
