Default Blasts of White Noise & Pops

About 2 weeks ago and about 3 days before I installed the 9.0.3 my PT9 started hanging, crashing, quitting partway through the startup and now...it starts but about every 15 seconds I get a huge blast of white noise with pops in between.
I'm on a PC.
Anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Allen

Red face Re: Blasts of White Noise & Pops

I could not be more embarrassed , but, I shall nevertheless post my "solution". And, yes, I was supposed to be aware of this.
I have an IKMEDIA bundle that most of which I had registered but when I inserted any of the IK plugins into a session, then the expired plugin would give it's white noise "blast"....even if it was not the plugin being used. I have registered them all and ...no problems.
