Default Plugins that REQUIRE P4 or Athlon processors?

To your knowledge, do you know of any plugins that require P4 or Athlon to run?

Thanks,
Drew.

I, umm, think he was being facetious. I ran my digi001 on a celeron 400 for awhile when I first got it, which was below spec for the time.

There aren't any requirements specifically at the level of a P4 or Athlon except for Guitar Rig which requires an x86 processor that has SSE2 instructions in it. Athlons didn't have that until the MP/XP lines of processors. The Thunderbirds (which I have one of) didn't have SSE compatible instructions built into them.

Now that I think about it tho, the only other one I can think of that -might- have that high of a cpu requirement would possibly be Waves' IR-1 Convolution Reverb

I don't think any AMD proc's have SSE2 intrinsics available. SSE was just recently added for compatibility with Intel's SIMD. (If I'm not mistaken.) The availability of SSE intrinsic funcitions were at the heart of my question anyway, it's funny that you mention SSE.

I ran Waves Gold and then Platinum v3.6 on my PIII if that's any help. V4.0 and now v5.0 Platinum are on my P4.

Cheers,

Actually the xp athlons have sse instructions, and the new athlon 64 chips have sse2 instructions. I did not think any aspect of pt utilized anything more then the good old fashioned fpu instructions from yester year.
