If you have two licenses, your best bet would be to buy one straight from Avid and get it activated right away, then buy another one from reseller, who will give you a code that you can use on a later date (not date of purchase).

This warning can not be repeated too often:

The special offer that lasts thru december can be bought via your account on Avid.com, and it will then be activated immediately!
If it is bought thru a reseller, you get a code (so-called redemption code) that you can use to activate the reinstatement - whenever you decide it's time! It does not expire.

I've bought a code thru a local reseller, and plan to use it to get current when PT is apple silicon native.

Nobody knows why they did it like this, but it's the way it is.

Oh wow, thanks for the heads up! I am rebuilding the studio and also have the new macos, so I can't work right now anyway and wanted to get it later but I saw it was only available to get this month.
