Default Select multiple Midi notes in Sketch on computer

How do you select multiple midi notes in the editor window on computer? On ipad you touch and hold to bring up marquee selection, but clicking and dragging on computer just moves the midi field around. You can select notes one at a time by holding shift, but I can't figure out how to select all midi notes at once. Anyone know how to do it?

Hi there!
Can you post a screenshot of this? Are you in a loop in editor view?

Thanks
Tope

Hi Welcome to DUC

Would it surprise you to know it works the same on the desktop app (at least on my Mac) as it does on the iPad... You just click and hold the mouse button down a little while and then drag that white rectangle to select MIDI notes. That surprised me I kept looking for something like CTRL-click or OPTION-click and drag. Not a very Mac UI feel but hey...

I'd personally have liked more traditional Pro Tools MIDI edit behavior here... but maybe folks working on this know the legacy MIDI tools need lots of work as well, and this is just a first version. Copy and paste to Pro Tools MIDI tracks or just MIDI text would be nice, or maybe I'm missing something. But still early days, I want to see where this goes.

Hi Darryl, and thank you for your help! I had not thought to try that. This will work for now and hopefully we'll get some more features in the future.

Ha. I had give up in frustration with that on the desktop, closed Sketch and Pro Tools and went back to play with the iPad and then thought, mmm no they wouldn't... and went back and tested it and that was when I realized they had done that.

Velocity of updates/fixes/new features will be a sign to me of how Sketch is likely to work out. Hopefully that can be decoupled from being absolutely tied to the rest of Pro Tools.
