All of a sudden I can not read the text in the comment Window (edit screen) while editing the comments. The text just disappears as soon as I click in the comment field. If I click out I can read, but not while in the window. Silly. . . I like to put key setting notes in the the comments during mastering, but I guess I can't anymore. Anyone have this problem?

Protools 8.03 CS1 on Leopard.

I've had exactly the same problem on numerous occasions!

Quite obviously a bug - who knows when they'll ever fix it...

I have the same problem. I thought it'd be fixed in the latest cs update. I didn't see it listed in the fixes for cs2. It's pretty frustrating for me. I use the comments window a lot...or I used to that is.

It happens in both the Edit and Mix Window. Is ok when I first open the session, but after clicking in the comment field a few times, the font becomes unreadable (seems like the color of the font and the background switch to being the same as each other. When I leave the comment field it is readable, but you can't edit what you can't see.

It must just be some of us experiencing the problem, or you would think Digi would have fixed this already. . . Oh I forgot, all the graphics guys are re-branding everything as "AVID" so product maintenance is on hold until further notice.

Is it just my opinion or is kind of delay to restore standard functionality ridiculous?

I don't use paper in my process anymore and I rely on comments fields for certain things, and not being able to see what I am typing just doesn't cut it.

As I have remarked in other threads, this happens on one session but not another here all the time. I have to 'visualize' what I'm typing. Making a change or edit in the edit window can suddenly make the session comments field broken.

Whenever I have this problem with the comments field, I just double-click the track name and enter the comments there... Always works for me.

Doh!. . . simple enough work around. Thanks for shakin' some of my dead brain cells loose.
