Depends how you think about it. In my humble opinion, subscriptions are the perfect trap when you can NEVER leave and pay perpetually for the same good, over and over.

Reminds me of a song...

I got into Spark on Day One and it's been on every session. I loathe bundles and microtransactions in general but that's one I don't lose sleep over.

Agree - UAD Spark on every session here too, (& for me killing all my alternatives). Not sure of any subscription traps... but you can always opt out....or renew when required. Not getting rid of any perpetual licences just yet... but UAD Spark is an interesting, (& promising) development :)

My unused plug-in list is larger than the ones in the main folder.

That's me in real life (or meirl as the kids would sady). My storage cabinets are immense whereas my studio, where things are plugged-in and used, is actually pretty slim these days.

I've spent too many years jumping on great deals in the hope that a vast array of plug-ins would actually speed production and improve final product.

For the most part I just kept increasing the unused folder size. But just think about all the dollars saved.

Ain't that the truth.

I think we're all insane. We should all by law only be allowed to use a dozen plugins, and then learn how to use them properly.
