Most software companies email you weeks in advance of auto renewal dates.
Heck even iLok does. But not Avid, I saw an email my renewal for Studio was processed today, and went to see if I could cancel. It cancelled, and confirmed my subscription expired 08-02-2022. Heres the irony, I just paid $299 for a 2 hour subscription!! Refund was refused. Avid you must be desperate for cash.

That's just sad.
(I got the 'Share your thoughts—we’re listening' email from Avid again today, and I gave them my thoughts. I think this was the first time I responded; I gave them bad review. They need to tidy up things in so many ways.) Sorrry for the rant.

FWIW I also thought early this year I did not get any renewal warning emails. I went searching though my emails/spam folders etc. and could find reminder emails from past years just not this one. Unclear what happened, I don't want to say they absolutely were not sent/might not have been accidentally deleted etc. but I was suspicious. I now set my own calendar reminder.

The whole point was that I should have been able to NOT renew today. Which is the day its said it expired, rather they renewed it today. I did turn off Auto renew, and it stated my subscription expires today. But CS wants to keep my money. Looking NOW it extended my subscription to 2023. So Avid gets money for nothing, and the chicks for free!

Looks like your case was escalated and resolved by CS. I've asked the team to look into the lack of renewal notification.
