Default Play back stops for a moment

I have pro tools m powered 7.3.1 cs on a windows system amd 64 bit processor,gig and a half of ram over a 1000 gigs of hard drive space.my problem is and it's not a big one but all of a sudden when i go to move audio or even just click the file play back pauses for a second then starts back up is anyone else having this problem searched the forums couldn't find and answer

Yeah, it's a bit annoying, would be nice figure out how to avoid project from stopping when you select something on the track.
