Fun with GPIO
[FUN WITH GPIO]
Let's take a closer look at working with GPIO triggers - specifically GP Inputs, using some scrap wood and a few dollars worth of arcade switches. :) We can assign EUCON or Surface functions (or stacks of them) to up to 8 different GP Inputs accessed via Settings > Soft Keys > Master Module GPIO. For this example, we are sticking entirely to Surface functions so that we can pick off and sum sources which ultimately feed into a talent cue which are part of our MTRX Monitor Profile in DADman. We've also created local Soft Keys using the Automation Module > User Pages to mirror some of the sources and stacks we created with the GPI's. Lastly, Track Layouts (accessed within a Spill Zone) are often the best way to quickly get to collections of faders contained within Pro Tools, and from within the MTRX Monitor Profiles.
