Fader Pack thinks its a Main Unit

I recently unboxed a Pro Control Fader Pack and found that it thinks it's a Main Unit. I understand that this little expansion believes it's capable of bigger things, but it just does not have enough buttons to be a Main Unit.

Seriously, it's a fader pack that shows as a MAINUNIT if you check the system settings in the utility. I can only assume someone tweaked it so they could run 8 faders without a MAINUNIT being plugged in.

Anyone know how I can enlighten this poor misguided Fader Pack as to it's true role in this world?

Check and see if the cables to the meter led display are connected. If they are disconnected the fader pack will register as a main unit.

Disconnecting the cables are a simple hack to to use the fader pack without a main unit.

All you have to do is change the name manually either from the Unit,or via the Peripherals/Ethernet Controllers Pane
I dont think that there is a Meter Led Display on the back of the Unit except(2) Com Ports (2)Midi Ports the Ethernet Connector and (2) 1/4 Jack Plugs
