Default DIGI or somebody. Problem with playback when editing, Help!

I'm editing 5 vocal tracks, at the moment I'm using VocAlign projet, I have Xpand
playing a single soft pipes line, one track with Strike with the default content size,
two tracks with hybrid playing nothing heavy and Ivory piano on another track
playing only a few notes. I'm using only one reverb on an aux track (TL Space)
and a short delay on another aux track. I have a Mac G5 Dual 2 GHz with
5 GB of memory and I always restart the machine to work in a Pro Tools session.
My playback engine window: 1024 Samples, RTAS Procesor: 2 CPU Usage Limit 99%
DAE Playback Buffer: Default Cache Size: Normal.
But I'm getting this message (well known I think):

"The operating system held off interrupts for too long.
If this occurs frequently, try increasing the H/W Buffer Size
in the Playback Engine panel. (-6093)"

I have an external sample Hard Drive (Firewire 800)

I have bigger sessions and I was able to work fine, so I don't understand
what is happening.

Thank you for your help.

I have the same machine and, from my experience, you may well be running short of juice. Bounce down the VI's individually (by making other tracks inactive) to free-up some CPU overhead. You can always go back and reactivate instrument tracks if further editing is required.

Even though it's playing only a few notes, that's probably a big part of the culprit. Ivory is a resource hog. Like Phil said, you're probably just running out of juice on the CPU.

Thank you for your comments.
I must say: I have bigger sessions with more instrument tracks, with Structure loaded with strings, horns, etc, Strike,
Ivory playing lots of notes, I mean, BIG Sessions and the system was O.K.

Thank you again for your input.
