[XP/SP2, 2.5Ghz Processor, 4gb RAM, Pro Tools LE 8]
Can anyone tell me if I can use a Zoom h4 recorder as a USB Audio I/O Interface for Pro Tools LE 8? According to Zoom h4 documentation it is a 'standard USB audio I/O device' however when installing Pro Tools the device - which is 'on' and set to audio I/O mode - is not recognised by the process. Do USB I/O devices need to be proprietary? Does Pro Tools support only certain devices? Thanks, Tim |

Pro Tools only works with Digidesign interfaces. You can import the files recorded on the Zoom if you can record in wave format. But you MUST have a Digidesign interface or Pro Tools just will not open.
