Default C8, PT8 and TL MasterMeter problem

I have a fresh install of Win XP SP3 and PT8 with no additional plugins or toolkits. Without setting Command8 in Peripherals the TL MasterMeter plugin performs as it should. If I´ll set the Command8 for the operation the MasterMeter goes wild. Actually the signal level led´s freeze. I have tried the usual troubleshooting and have also installed the plugin separately with the latest installer.

My setup is 002R, C8, Windows XP Home SP3, Q6600+Asus P5K, 4gb Corsair, PT 8

Anyone else seeing this happening on a Windows machine?
